Copic Cats

I found these new stamps at Michael's the other day, and being a cat-lover, had to practice with a few shades and colours with my new Copics. I recorded the colours I used and keep these little sample images in a small artist's portfolio so I can refer to them later:

  1. Great job on the blending! I don't have any Copic markers but occasionally use my odorless mineral spirits & colored pencils to do some coloring/blending of my stamped images. I love those stamps, by the way. The one sitting with curly whiskers is adorable!!

  2. Aw, thank you Heather. I used to use my woodless pencils as well, but used Turpentine to blend them.

These are so much easier, and they come in far more colour choices!

Those cats ARE cute, aren't they? I just found them at Michael's the other day and couldn't resist picking them up, since I have three cats of my own. ;)

  3. Great coloring Maureen!
And a great resource in your notebook too.
I'm doing a sheet of 21 heads right now with different skin tones and it really gives me a good reference.

  4. Toucan Scraps: Aw, thank you.

Katie: What a great idea! I think when I start doing humans, I shall need to do this as well... for now, I have been doing a lot of nature / animals.
