Here is mine:
1 small can of evaporated milk
1/3 c lemon juice
1/2 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 Tb grated lemon peel (or more)
Spiced crumbs (recipe below)
Pour milk into a bowl and chill in the freezer until crystals start forming. Seperate eggs. In a large bowl, mix yolks with sugar, lemon juice and grated peel. Beat the egg whites stiff, then lightly mix into the yolk mixture. Beat the chilled milk stiff and carefully fold into the egg mixture. Pour into a loaf pan lined with the spiced crumb mixture. Swirl the top, decorate with lemon peel twists and freeze.
Spiced Crumbs
3/4 c graham wafer crumbs
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ginger
Mix well. Work in 3 Tb melted butter. Line tray, pressing firmly with spoon.
Serves 6 to 8.
This recipe is really tart and very refreshing on a hot summer day!
